What CDLzilla is

CDLzilla is a directory where commercial drivers in Washington and Oregon choose to list themselves, and employers find them. Drivers and employers can log jobs they did together and rate each other afterward. CDLzilla is a marketplace for introductions. It is not an employer, a staffing agency, or a background-check service.

Accounts

You must be 18 or older and, for driver accounts, hold a commercial driver's license.
You are responsible for what happens under your login. Keep your password private.
Use your real, legal name on a driver profile. Employers rely on it to match you to your license.
You can delete your account at any time from My account. Deleting removes your profile and contact details. Ratings you gave others stay, shown as from a former member.

Driver listings and consent

A driver appears in search only after agreeing to be listed. You can remove yourself from search at any time, and list again later. Each time you change that setting we record a consent entry with the date, your typed signature, and your device details, because that record is what the law requires us to keep.

At sign-up drivers also authorize CDLzilla and its verification partner to obtain their driving record and CDLIS record for employment purposes, as permitted by the Driver's Privacy Protection Act (18 U.S.C. § 2721) and 49 CFR 391.23. Only license class, endorsements, and status are shown to employers. The full record is never displayed on the site. Until a verification partner is connected, the "verified" status on sample profiles is illustrative.

Contact details

A driver's phone number and email are private. An employer can send a contact request. The driver sees who is asking and their contact information, and chooses whether to share theirs back. Declining is silent. Nothing about contact requests is shown publicly.

Jobs and ratings

Either side can log a job. The other side confirms or declines it. Only a confirmed job unlocks a rating, and each side may leave one rating per job.
Ratings are public and tied to the account that wrote them. Write about the work: reliability, safety, communication, pay, conditions. Don't post personal information, threats, or claims you can't back up.
We may remove ratings that break these rules. If you believe a rating about you is false, email us and we will review it and get the other party's side.
Employers: ratings on CDLzilla are opinions from other users. Do not treat them as a background check or as the sole basis for a hiring decision. Follow your own screening obligations under federal and state law.

What we store

Profile data you enter, including your photo if you upload one.
Login: your email and a hashed password. We never store the password itself.
Consent records with timestamp, typed signature, IP address, and browser details.
Jobs, contact requests, and ratings you create or receive.
Server logs kept briefly by our hosting provider for security and debugging.

Data is stored in the United States with Neon (database) and Vercel (hosting). We do not sell your data or share it with advertisers. We share it only with the verification partner you authorized, with providers we use to run the service, and when the law requires.

Cookies

One cookie keeps you signed in. It holds a random session token and nothing else. There are no tracking or advertising cookies.

Your choices

Edit or remove your listing at any time.
Delete your account, which deletes your profile, contact details, and consent records tied to it.
Email us to request a copy of the data we hold about you.

Liability

CDLzilla is provided as is. We do not guarantee that any driver or employer is who they say they are, that a license is valid, or that a rating is accurate. You are responsible for your own hiring and work decisions and for complying with the laws that apply to them. To the extent allowed by law, CDLzilla is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or from dealings between users.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms. Material changes will be announced on the site. Questions or requests: contact the site operator by email.
